How to reach us?

Road maintenance works are currently underway from Addis Ababa to Ambo, which are due for completion by 2007, when the travelling time will be reduced to approximately
2 hours. Until then the route to Ambo (125km) takes 3 hours, plus a 30km (40-minute) drive to the lake through verdant countryside along a gravel road.
Weliso is 116km (two hours) southwest of Addis, plus a further 40 minutes (38km) to the lake.
A 4x4 or other appropriate vehicle is suggested for the journey.
